We were delighted to host Kurt Fearnley last week as part of our Conversations with ConnellGriffin series.
Kurt is an inspirational three time Paralympic gold medallist and two time Commonwealth Games gold medallist. He has won over 40 marathons in a career spanning more than 20 years, been part of a winning Sydney to Hobart yacht crew and received the title of New South Wales Australian of the Year for 2019.
Kurt spoke to our team and clients about resilience in tough times and overcoming adversity, referring to his sport mentality to control what you can and forget about the rest. He provided insights into how accessibility needs to be approached in the infrastructure industry, referring to his own experiences of accessibility issues and attitudes. He ended our discussion with some home-schooling tips for our fellow home teachers.
