CLIENT OBJECTIVES:

Aula Energy’s current portfolio includes onshore wind projects and multi-technology projects where they combine wind or solar with on-site battery storage. ConnellGriffin provided commercial and project management advisory services to establish a new Project Management Framework.

OUR ROLE:

ConnellGriffin has been appointed to provide Provide Management Framework and Commercial Management services to Aula Energy. Our scope includes:

  • Development of a phased Project Management Framework which corresponds to Aula Energy’s asset development/project lifecycle.
  • Development of a six-staged Gate Process that links increasingly large and risky investment decisions with a progressively clearer understanding of project definition, sources of value, and risk as a project progresses through the Stages.
  • Establishment of governance model and requirements that facilitates effective management of Aula Energy’s capital investments and establishes a decision-making structure that is logical, robust, and repeatable.
  • Establishment of assurance requirements to ensure that decisions to proceed with a project are taken with a full understanding and acknowledgement of the risks.
  • Development of a suite of Project Management Framework procedures and templates to support the implementation of the framework.

ACHIEVEMENTS, SOLUTIONS AND VALUE ADDS:

The ConnellGriffin team was able to successfully develop and tailor a Project Management Framework that meets Aula Energy’s business needs and provides shareholder investment confidence. The Project Management Framework and procedures were tailored to Aula Energy’s organisational level of project management maturity that enabled successful implementation.

The Project Management Framework included a governance model that enabled effective management of Aula Energy’s capital investments and assurance requirements that ensured decisions to proceed with a project are taken with a full understanding and acknowledgement of the risks.

The Project Management Framework defined deliverables and objectives for each Stage that establishes a common approach to project delivery for Aula Energy.
